pattern testers wanted: crochet karma necklace

Thank you – I now have all the testers I needed. Stay tuned – the Karma Necklace pattern should make its debut shortly.

Follow JaKiGu Blog, Like JaKiGu on Facebook, or follow JaKiGu on Pinterest and Twitter to be the first to hear about upcoming projects and next testing opportunities. I am working on a basket and adorable and very unique envelopes. Exciting!

I made these necklaces a long time ago – too long ago, in fact. I’ve been wanting to publish the pattern for months. But before I do, I want to make sure the pattern is as clear and as easy to follow as it possibly can be. Would you like to test it?

Pattern Testers Wanted - Karma Necklace by JaKiGu

If so, here’s how:

Step 1:

Send an email to jakigumail[at]@gmail[dot]com with the subject line “Pattern Testing – Karma Necklace.”

Include any information you think is pertinent. I would love to know more about you than your email handle – please, introduce yourself, what your favourite crochet projects are. If you are active on social media, feel free to share a link to your Pinterest, Ravelry,  blog, online store, public Facebook page (not your personal profile) – see Note below.

Please use an email address you have regular access to as all communication will be done through email.

Step 2:

I will email you the pattern – please follow instructions accompanying the pattern.

Step 3:

Email me your feedback including any corrections you think are necessary and any comments you think are relevant by the deadline. Attached photos of finished work will be also appreciated.

And don’t forget to follow JaKiGu blog and/or “like” JaKiGu on Facebook and/or follow JaKiGu on Pinterest for future pattern testing opportunities.

Requirements:

Materials – 1.25 mm crochet hook, DMC Cotton Perle Size 8, 35-45 size 15/0 seed beads, sewing needle, scissors.

Skill level – confident novice, or beginner and up.

Deadline:

October 1, 2014. It’s a very simple project that should require no more than 1 hour to complete.

Designed by JaKiGu - Crochet Pendant

Compensation:

There will be no financial compensation for testing the pattern.

You will, however, receive the final version of the pattern (if the pattern needs to be revised from the version you receive for testing). You may sell items made using this pattern.

In addition, you will have a choice of one or two free patterns from my Etsy shop as a form of “Thank You.” You can either:

a) Choose a single pattern to have emailed to you, or

b) Choose two patterns to *buy* from my shop for ¢25 using your PayPal account – to which I will refund the ¢25 within 24 hours. This simply means you will get two patterns for free, but my Etsy shop sales get a little helpful nudge in the process as well. I will email you the coupon code upon completion of the test.

Moreover, if you share a photo of finished Karma necklace on JaKiGu Facebook page, you can request an additional free pattern.

Notes:

If too many testers express their desire to participate, preference will be given to those willing to (privately) share their social media links.

I promise to honor your privacy and will not share any of your personal information (including, but not limited to your name, email address; Facebook, Pinterest, Ravelry, WordPress, or Etsy username) without your explicit written consent.
